CHAWMINO ARTS CENTER STAFF
PENDO ULANGA
Pendo is Executive Director and treasurer of Chamwino Arts Center. She oversees CAC's vision, including designing and implementing of different activities of the organization.
DR. KEDMON MAPANA
Dr. Kedmon Mapana is founder of Chamwino Arts Center, and advisor to CAC on design and implementation of the organization’s projects, as well as central to securing funding for the organization. He was formerly chair of the Department of Performing Arts at the University of Dar es Salaam. He is also Chair of BASATA, the National Arts Council of Tanzania, and formerly on the faculty of the University of Dar es Salaam.
FRANK MGIMWA
Frank is implementing and supervising CAC’s daily activities as well as coordinating the long-term activities of assorted projects within the Center.
SOSPETER MAPANA
Sospeter is coordinator of CAC’s annual Cicogo festival, including visitation and communications with village groups as well as organization of festival volunteers
KENNETH ULANGA
Kenneth is key to the preservation of Wagogo culture at the Center through the collection of Wagogo stories, history, and customs that include stories, songs, and games.
STANLEY MPUZA
Stanley is CAC’s Security Office, responsible for the overseeing of the Center’s buildings and adjacent land.
REHEMA CHIBUTU
Rehema is a Bank Signatory for CAC, and has served also in coordinating food preparations for the festival and the Chamwino’s Children Center.
NASSON MAZENGO
Nasson is a Bank Signatory for CAC, and has also been involved in visitations to village groups and teaching at Chamwino’s Children’s Center.
